My Favorite 5 W's of November

The more and more I delve into the lovely world of Pinup - the more and more I find that I friggin' love it...don't you? The people, the fashion...the fashion, the people!! With each passing month, I've found that I have something that I really loved. So I thought I share with all of you!

Who:

You may or may not know, but November was a mournful month for me. My sweet lil' Grammy passed away. I was very close to her; it was (and still is) a difficult reality. I did get many texts, phone calls and emails from family and close friends. However, November doesn't have just one "who" in particular - but many. It is all the lovely pinup ladies I've met.

Why: The out pouring of love via text, Instagram and Facebook was sincerely heart warming. Most of these ladies I've know 6 to 8 months. The willingness to be a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen - that's hard to find. Thank you, ladies, from the bottom of my heart.

What:

The best thing about "snail mail" is getting something you've been waiting for. I mean....it's mostly junk now a days. Even bills are sent electronically. Now it's just a bunch of ads and coupons....woopie. Every gal knows when they order something they are at their mailbox the second they get home...hopefully before their significant other sees it. BUT in November, I was wasn't waiting for a purchase order. I obtain a pen pal from Australia! Yup....an old school legit pen pal! She is is none other that Missi aka Curve Creation!

Why: It's so easy to sit in front of your computer and type out an email and send it straight off to anyone in the world. But when I opened my letter, it was nice to see that she took time to actually hand write a note to me!

Where:

Towards the end of the month I took part in a calendar signing event at the Artifice, you can read about it in my last blog post here. I really didn't know what to expect or how many people would attend but was surprised at the turnout.

Why: It's not only the signing that is my favorite, but the whole experience! From the getting ready, running late because my genius self forgot my wardrobe...seriously people, who forgets their wardrobe?? Two thumbs point to this girl. The set up, the pain endured and learning that it is not easy (being cheesy - nerd moment, over). But the amount of people that showed up to show their support was amazing! I knew a good chunk of the calendar girls - it was great reconnecting. On top of it all, I got to meet more lovely ladies.

When:

As if this question could get any easier!! My birthday!!

Why: It's funny to me...the older I get those around me seem to dread their birthdays. I love my birthday. Actually, I love birthdays! I love getting older and wiser. I don't miss my 20's. Don't get me wrong, I was young, dumb and made questionable life choices, but it seems to me you start to be taken seriously the older you get. Besides, what good will it do you to dread your birthday? It will give you wrinkles!! Embrace it people! I used to think I'd start to hate my birthday once I started to get into the 80s or so....but now, I think if I make it that long, I'll be grateful!

P.S. you aren't going crazy!! This is my second blog of the week! I started off with one a week...but felt like sippin' and socializing a bit more. This maybe a regular thing, this may not be. I'm not going to lie...I can get pretty lazy! But for the time being, I like it. Stay tuned, I've got some fun things I've been thinking of!!
