Weekend Wrap Up: AmberJoy's Bombshell Calendar & Behind The Scenes

Phew! What a week it has been!! Did you have a Happy Thanksgiving??

It was quite an emotional one for me as I didn't go home to spend it with my family and the first time without my Grammy. A special thank you to the amazing amount of love that was shown by those that I know, who I've just met or have only met virtually. Your love and condolences were and still are greatly appreciated!

This will be a semi-long post since it was a long holiday weekend - so my apologies in advance.

After Thanksgiving, we celebrated my birthday by being lazy on the couch (who doesn't love a lazy day?!) and only mustered up enough energy to get up and get ready for night time festivities. My hubs surprised me by taking me out to Koi at Planet Hollywood for a daaaaaaamn good sushi dinner. He done good folks....he done good. I've been wanting sushi for months now and he remembered :)

After we stuffed our faces and rolled out of the restaurant we headed over to my second surprise at Paris Hotel & Casino. I wasn't sure what to expect. Were we going to the top of the Eiffel Tower? Seeing Jersey Boys?? Nope, we went to go see hypnotist Anthony Cools. My first thought...meh, okay. The shows starts and my second thought was meh...people are faking it....whatever. But damn it there were some damn funny moments and the people who volunteered to go up on stage to be hypnotized were straight faced. I am most certainly a believer in hypnotizing, however, I don't think I'll ever volunteer.

Saturday was another fabulously lazy day. Sometimes, you just need to zone out and do NOTHING.
But the time came where Ashley (dopedeadgorgeous) was to be at my house to do up this mug for AmberJoy's 2016 Calendar signing at Artiface. I'm okay with makeup and am by no means a makeup artists...but damn....Ashley is gifted! With the short time we spent together, I learned about a few things and now I need to try them! She's super sweet and awesome! If you are in the Vegas area or will be in the Vegas area for an event that requires a makeup artists, CONTACT HER!

Ashley's FAB work <3

As previously mentioned, the signing was at the Artifice - same place where the pageant was back in October.

BTW - Flyer done by yours truly :)

I unfortunately do not have a lot of pictures from the signing, I'm sure there will be pictures all over the place soon. But I did manage to steal other peoples pictures.

Of course you can't have a calendar without doing a photo shoot! This was my second photo shoot, first for anything other than personal use. Let me tell you....this is some hard work!! My body was so sore later that day and even more so the day after.....oof! After so long, my body was giving out and was ready to ker-plunk! In the end, I had a ton of fun and I look forward to more photo shoots! I didn't have anyone taking candids of me during my shoot...but here are some behind the scenes shots I got of some other lovely calendar girls <3

Sometimes you gotta ditch your original idea and go another direction.

I also have to add....Sinthia is a pro! This looks so uncomfortable, but she rocked it!

FYI - Ronnie made her outfit herself. Skills people....SKILLS!

Such a memorable experience. I'm just bummed I didn't remember Ashley for my makeup needs. In case you are turning into a cartoon wolf and your heart is pumping out of your chest, your tongue is rolling out of your mouth, your eyes are five times they usually are and you are hearing "Ah-wooo-ga!" at the sight of the behind the scenes pics - you can grab your own calendar from Amber's website. Just click here.

You might see a familiar face in there :p

By the way....how are you liking the new look? I played around with it for quite sometime over the long holiday weekend. I'm not always able to get out and do things...so this is my way to sip and socialize. Until next time ~

Essentially,

Evie xoxo
