Pinup About Town - Red Rock

Yes! I am happy to report that I was more prepared than my last Pinup About Town blog! Thankfully, I found a great deal on a website called Travel Zoo for a hotel that is in Summerlin called Red Rock. Not only did Valentine's Day fall on a Sunday, but President's Day was the next day. With that knowledge, I knew folks from out of town would be staying one extra day in Sin City. That is why I chose a hotel off the strip....waaaay off the strip. Red Rock Hotel & Casino is on the southwest side of the city and is apart of the Stations Casinos.

We've been to Red Rock many times, however we've gone only to eat, gamble, see concerts (saw John Legend....AMAZING) and to see movies. There are a TON of things to do at Red Rock. Even just checking out the premises is awesome.

As you can see from the pictures above (click to enlarge) - you have a movie theater, bowling lanes, an arcade and the bottom right that is the entrance to their nightclub which used to be called Cherry and is now call Crimson. The nightclub also has a patio that leads out to the pool area:

Talk about a gorgeous day to be out at the pool!
I feel like I'll be checking out this place reaaaaal soon

We didn't eat here on Valentine's Day, but we've eaten here before - GREAT STEAK HOUSE if you are ever at RR
Bar / Lounge area next to Hotel Registration
When checked in, there was a small line but it went quickly. The person behind the front desk, Jeff, was incredibly helpful and very friendly....always important. Upon check-in, we got a few little goodies - which include two free margaritas at their new Mexican restaurant, Libre. Bonus: no purchase necessary....booya!

And now onto the room! Jeff gave me a room on the 19th floor (the top floor is the 20th) and gave us a strip view. Um....awesome!! The hotel is very clean and appealing. When I got to our door, I saw we had a doorbell! (It's the little things that make me happy). Upon walking into the room, I was surprised to see a hallway - already loving this room! Even if the room isn't all that big, giving it a hallway with his & her closets - yes please! The drapes were closed when I walked in so it was kind of dark. I searched and searched for a light switch and talk about classy....instead of a switch, you get buttons (see left photo - sorry for the blurriness) with different settings for the lights: High, Medium & Low. Talk about an ambiance setter. Then separate buttons to open and close the drapes (which are blackout) and the sheers, which I like to leave open so you can see the lights from the strip at a distance. Already feeling swanky! There was an apology made - they only had rooms with two queens available. I had requested the one king, but it's upon availability.

Between the bedroom and the bathroom, there is a bar area. I think this is smart on the resort's part because 99.9% of Vegas goers come armed with their own booze. I've had friends fill up the sink with ice and make their own in room cooler. There is a shelf for bottles of booze, a sink and a fridge:

If you're anything like me...it's all about the bathroom! Most specifically, the shower and tub. The shower photo did not come out well, but it had a rainfall shower head in addition to the regular shower head...more water from more directions equals awesomeness!

This tub allowed for a lovely Lush Bomb bath :)
When I walked into where the toilet was, I heard a weird noise, I looked behind me and saw the toilet seat rising. It had a sensor!! The toilet even came with a control panel...again, I apologize for the blurriness.

The buttons on top have a flush function as well as ones to lift the toilet seat cover, the toilet seat and to put it back down.
Low and behold....we have a bidet ladies and gentlemen! Never seen one in person or used one. Honestly, was too weirded out to use it, but the buttons intrigued me...and I won't lie...made me giggle a bit :)

Over all Red Rock was an awesome place to have a staycation. We even went to one of the bars and got 4 drinks for $23....what a steal! I give Red Rock 5 out of 5 stars! I would stay here every month, but that defeats the purpose of trying new places and new things with my hubs!

I broke out my Jazmin Circle dress from Tatyana

I was a bit bothered that the room didn't have a full length mirror to capture the awesomeness of my outfit! The next day I was searching the room for any items left behind and I was bummed to find out the full length mirrors were in the closets in the hallway...with automatic lights when you open the door. DO'H! Oh well, what can you do?

This blog was written while sipping
my last bottle of Viansa Pinot Noir for
National Wine Day

Cheers!

Essentially,

Evie xoxo

  1. It looks like you had a fabulous stay at Red Rock! I've seen it in those little magazines you find in all the Vegas hotels, but had no idea where it was or what it was like. What a lovely room, and that pool is amazing! Free drinks are the best, too -- we got a voucher for $20 of free drinks in the lobby bar from Excalibur last August, which was a great surprise. It turned out to be even better because we got engaged that night! So I ended up with two surprises, hehe :).
