Lola Von Rose
I have a daily ritual of blogs I go through and read. The first blog of my day is always Miss Amy May. A couple of weeks ago the second I finished her blog about a new purse she found, I jumped online and ordered it! Enter Lola Von Rose - be-still my beating heart!!
I have so many damn purses. I need another purse like a need a hole in my head. But after Miss Amy May's blog post....I saw it, I needed it, so....I bought it!
I ordered this fantastic purse late in the evening on August 5th. It was right before I left work....so about 5pm. I poo you not, I received my new beauty in the mail on August 8th....FROM FLORIDA!
I was tracking the box like a kid waiting to open presents on Christmas. When I saw it was delivered I wanted to leave work early to pick up, hold it, touch it, cuddle it and name it. Alas, I waited. The rest of the day was excruciating. But when I got home, parked my car, opened the door and ripped open the box to find.....
Shattered dreams! It was beautiful! It was shiny! I was....broken :( My heart sank a bit and thought...maybe I'm supposed to screw in the handle myself? I contacted Lola Von Rose via Instagram. I the above photo and asked if, in fact, I was to screw on the handle on my own.
I got a quick response saying that it must have broken in transit and that another would be shipped out right away. I was super excited and so very thankful at the fabulous customer service I received! I was sent the tracking number and kept a close eye on my beauty as it made it's way across the country. I received it just in time for the Pin Ups and Fireman Mixer that was hosted by Femmes & Fellas.
Last weekend was a whirlwind and I only got one photo with her - but she was questioned by many. Where did I get her? How much was she?!
You can follow Lola Von Rose via Instagram and their website (both linked above). Currently they only have red and black for sale. They have pink and whites listed as coming soon. This is currently the only style they have for sale...which I don't mind! I can only imagine what my purse collection will look like if/when they expand. Good Lord help me now!
As stated, she came from Florida - rapidly I might add! She is $54.40 (which is currently on sale from $64) with $12 shipping for customers in the US. Shipping goes up to a minimum $23 for our neighbors to the north in Canada and a minimum of $25 to all other countries.
Look at her....I mean....LOOK. AT. HER! Her shiny acrylic surface just lures you in. Her purse shape long and lovely. Her unique handle has that deadly curve to it.
All-in-all she is a perfect lady with killer curves that turned heads left and right! Her hinges that keep her handle on are a wee bit squeaky, but it's nothing that can't be fixed. For a good minute I had no idea what the heck the sound was....was going semi-bonkers for a while.
As Miss Amy May mentioned, she's quite roomy! I always struggle with finding a purse that is small(ish) and stylish. A lot of the time I sacrifice taking my "good" camera so I can fit my phone into whatever going out purse I have chosen. My lovely new beauty fit not only my proper identification, cash, cards, phone and keys (those get bulky too) BUT it also fit my good camera! Stylish and practical?! Um....yes please!
It's become obvious to me that I will need to own her sisters Red & White. I'm not sure I would fancy this purse in pink....but who am I to rule out that possibility? Clearly, I am a slave to Lola Von Rose <3 Hi....my name is Evie...and I have a problem.
So what are you waiting for?! Go grab yourself a Lola Von Rose of your own! I promise you won't regret it!
